Iron Giraffe Challenge Donation Drive

Thank you to everyone who donated last week to Water for South Sudan. Together, we raised $356.28 for this year's Iron Giraffe Challenge. Together, we are helping to bring clean water to many more people. Congratulations to Audrey, Lena, and Mrs. Kehoe for winning the gift baskets, and an extra special thank you to Wegmans for their generous donation of a gift card for the staff basket.

Athena Cares Partners with Champions of Change to Help the Rochester Homeless

Jeremiah, Joshua,and Jordan West, founders of Champions of Change with our donations…

Athena Cares collected donations from middle and high school staff and students, and we also used $100 of the money we collected from our Backpack Day last month to put together 83 of these Blessing Bags. After the Champions of Change Homeless Christmas Party in Rochester, they will be given out to everyone in attendance.

Water for South Sudan Garage Sale a HUGE Success!

Thanks to so many donations from our community, Athena Cares raised almost $2,000 at our first ever garage sale to benefit South Sudan. We are well on our way to well #2!

Dress A Girl International Doll-Making Event

Athena Cares members participated in an event sponsored by Angels of Mercy to benefit Dress A Girl International.We made dolls, which go in the pockets of dresses and are given to girls 
in the United States, India, Cambodia, Guatemala, Uganda and at least 60 other countries. Statistics show that children who are do not have a nice outfit are easy targets for abuse and kidnapping. Together, we made over 20 dolls at the event, then we came back to school and taught others how to make even more. To date, we have made over 40 dolls total.
