Athena Cares members participated in an event sponsored by Angels of Mercy to benefit Dress A Girl International.We made dolls, which go in the pockets of dresses and are given to girls in the United States, India, Cambodia, Guatemala, Uganda and at least 60 other countries. Statistics show that children who are do not have a nice outfit are easy targets for abuse and kidnapping. Together, we made over 20 dolls at the event, then we came back to school and taught others how to make even more. To date, we have made over 40 dolls total.
