Second Garage Sale for Water for South Sudan a Success!
Athena Cares is pleased to announce that our second garage sale raised $1,797.10 for Water for South Sudan!
Thank you so much to the many generous people who donated items and, of course, those who came shopping. Special thanks to Wegmans for providing us with lunches, snacks, and water as we worked through the heat and rain, and a HUGE thank you to Greece Rotary for matching our sales on Saturday! We now have raised enough money for naming rights on a second well in South Sudan PLUS enough to meet next year's Iron Giraffe Challenge!

Rise Against Hunger Food Packing Event
Thanks to a sponsorship by Greece Rotary, local citizens were able to come together on Saturday, April 1 to package 60,000 meals to be sent all around the world. Their goal is to end world hunger by 2030, by bringing meals and helping communities "stand up and be self-sustainable." Each 6-serving package contains a vitamin packet, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and rice.
