In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Athena Cares members are still thinking of others. We brainstormed ways to help from home, and here are some of the ways kids chose to help spread cheer and kindness:
- Collecting food for the local food shelf (we also donated 212 pounds of food items from the Athena Cares food pantry)
- Masking masks to donate
- Making signs/posters to show support for essential workers
- Sending thank you cards to healthcare workers, police, and firefighters
- Writing encouraging words on sidewalks
- Painting and leaving Hope Rocks with positive messages around the neighborhood
