Book Bag Day at Athena Middle Raises Funds for Ronald McDonald House

We had a Book Bag day in December to raise money for the Rochester Ronald McDonald House. Thanks to strong support from the middle school students, we collected $252, which enabled us to buy materials to make 150 snack bags. When families leave the Ronald McDonald House in the morning to spend the day at the hospital with their sick children, they can grab these bags of snacks and drinks.

The Greenhouse Project- Steps 1 & 2

In October, we emptied and cleaned out the school's Greenhouse, which hasn't been used in years. We organized, sorted, and discarded, and we are now ready to plant!

Thanks to an incredibly generous donation from Lowe's, we now have enough soil and seeds to get started!
