We spent last Saturday doing our first round of  cleanup in our courtyard- weeding, pulling up dead bushes, planting new perennials, and adding new mulch to the landscaped areas. Our First Clothing Bazaar

We held our first building-wide Clothing Bazaar on Wednesday, April 25, along with the high school's Community Club. We plan to have this be a monthly event for the families in our community who need a helping hand.

Athena Raises $367 for Smile Train

Thank you to everyone who participated in Athena Cares's Book Bag/Hat Day on Thursday, March 29 . Together, we raised $367.59 to benefit Smile Train! Thanks to you, Smile Train will be able to do even more to help children around the world who are born with Cleft Lip or Cleft Palate, which keeps children from being able to eat and/or talk properly. In some places, they may be abandoned by their families, refused schooling, or unable to hold jobs. The surgeries Smile Train provides takes all of these problems away and gives kids the opportunity to thrive! Thank you again to everyone who supported these efforts!

Greece Rotary Ziti Dinner Service with a Smile

Members of Athena Cares helped serve meals at the annual Greece Rotary Ziti Dinner on Sunday. This fundraiser helps the Rotary club give back to the community, and they have been very generous to our group.

Pirate Toy Fund Sorting Event

Members of Athena Cares and NHS helped sort toys last weekend for the Pirate Toy Fund, which brings cheer to children in the hospital, at Christmastime, etc. We even made the News 8 Honor Roll!
